Mahi with Rhubarb Sauce
Mahi mahi fish steaks grilled and served with a sauce
made of rhubarb, orange juice,
honey, vinegar, and red onion, seasoned with five-spice
powder.
1 1/2 cups rhubarb cut into bite size pieces
1/4 cup orange juice
1 teaspoon Chinese five spice powder
1/3 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup honey
2 cups water
1 cup finely diced red onion
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 4 oz. Mahi Mahi fish Steaks
1 Tablespoon canola oil
Simmer rhubarb, orange juice, Chinese five spice powder,
vinegar, honey, water, onion, and salt, uncovered, for
7-10 minutes until rhubarb is tender. Meanwhile preheat
grill. Rub steaks with oil. Grill 4-5 minutes per side,
depending on thickness. Serve with rhubarb sauce.
Notes:
This is a springtime departure from your usual
grilled fish entree.
