Baked Stuffed Sea Trout
1 cup Soft fresh bread crumbs
3 tsp Butter
1/4 teas black pepper
1 small onion, peeled and copped
1/4 cup chopped sweet green pepper
1/8 tsp dried thyme
1 1/4 teas salt
3/4 cup chopped mushrooms
1 whole (about 2 1/2 lbs) sea trout, sea bass, or red
snapper dressed
Preheat the oven to 375...in a mixing bowl, combine the
bread crumbs, 2 T of butter, pepper, onion, pepper,
thyme, 1/4 teas of the salt and the mushroom. Set aside.
Sprinkle the trout inside and out with the rest of the
salt. Stuff the fish loosely with the bread crumb
mixture and close the opening with skewers.
Place the fish in a buttered 13x9x2
baking dish. Brush the fish with the remaining tbsp of
butter. Bake uncovered for 20 minutes or longer,
depending on the thickness of the fish. When the fish
flakes easily when tested with a fork it is done.
