Peanut Butter and Apple Crumble


Yield: 6 - 8 servings

4 cups thinly sliced peeled apples
1 package (300g) (500 mL) CHIPITS REESEŽ Peanut Butter Baking Chips
1 cup (250 mL) sugar, divided
2 tablespoons (30 mL) plus 1/2 cup (125 mL) all-purpose flour, divided
6 tablespoons (90 mL) butter or margarine, divided
1 cup (250 mL) quick-cooking or regular rolled oats
1/2 teaspoon (2 mL) ground cinnamon
Whipped cream (optional)

Heat oven to 350°F (180°C). Grease 9-inch square baking pan.

In large bowl, stir together apples, CHIPITS peanut butter chips, 3/4 cup sugar and 2 tablespoons flour. Spread into prepared pan; dot with 2 tablespoons butter.

In medium bowl, stir together remaining sugar, remaining flour, oats and cinnamon; cut in remaining 4 tablespoons butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Sprinkle oat mixture over apples.

Bake 40 to 45 minutes or until apples are tender and edges are bubbly. Cool slightly. Serve warm with whipped cream, if desired.
