Spareribs and Sauerkraut


3 lbs. spareribs cut into serving sized pieces
1-#2 1/2 sized can Sauerkraut
2 c. Open Pit barbeque sauce, original or hickory flavored

Place spareribs in a large roasting pan and coat both sides with a generous amount of sauce. Bake at 375° for 1 hour until ribs are browned. Spread the entire can of sauerkraut evenly over the ribs and add enough water around ribs to braise, about 2-3 cups. Baste ribs and sauerkraut with pan juices, drizzling additional barbeque sauce over all. Cover and bake at 350° for 1 hour. Remove from over and baste again with pan juices. Serve with boiled or baked potatoes.
