Macaroni Ham Casserole

1-8oz macaroni, cooked & drained
1/4 cup butter
1-16oz can tomatoe sauce
1 lge. onion , chopped
1 garlic clove, minced
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
2 cups diced ham
1-1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Melt butter in sauce pan & add tomatoe sauce, onion, garlic, salt & pepper. . Simmer 10 minutes. Add ham & 3/4 cup of cheese. Heat until cheese melts. Stir in macaroni. Pour into greased 2qt casserole dish. Sprinkle remaining cheese on top. Bake at 350F for 30 minutes. Serves 5-6.
