Fruitcake Christmas Cookies
7 cup chopped nuts
6 slices pineapple
2 cup cherries
2 cup chopped dates
3/4 lb. raisins
1 cup melted butter
3 well beaten eggs
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup milk
3 cup plain flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
Mix nuts, pineapple, cherries, dates and raisins and add
1/2 cup sherry; let stand overnight.
Mix butter and sugar. Add eggs, flour, soda and cinnamon
alternating with milk. Add fruit mixture. Drop on well
greased cookie sheet. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes at 300
degrees. Store in airtight container.
