Bourbon Balls
Source: Crumbled Cookies
1 cup of finely crushed vanilla wafer crumbs
1 cup finely chopped pecans
1 cup of powdered sugar
2 tablespoons of unsweetened cocoa
2 ounces of bourbon
1 1/2 tablespoons of light corn syrup
Thoroughly combine crushed vanilla wafer crumbs, pecans,
powdered sugar, and unsweetened cocoa. In a separate
bowl, bourbon and light corn syrup. Stir this liquid
into the dry mixture, and when well blended, cover and
chill in the refrigerator for 1 hour or more. Sift 1/2
cup or more of powdered sugar on a cookie sheet. Shape
small bits of the dough into balls and roll them in the
powdered sugar . Store the balls in tins with
tight-fitting lids. They keep well refrigerated, and can
be frozen. Makes about 3 dozen
