Lemon Bourbon Sauce


1/3 cup Sugar
3/4 cup Water
1/4 cup Bourbon
4 tsp Lemon juice
1 tbsp Cornstarch
2 tbsp Butter or margarine
3/4 tsp Lemon rind, grated

Combine sugar and cornstarch in small saucepan; stir in water. Cook, stirring constantly, until mixture boils and thickens. Remove from heat; stir in butter until melted. Add bourbon, lemon rind and juice; mix well.

 Great sauce for desserts!
