Spinach Artichoke Dip

1 (10 ounce) package frozen chopped spinach, thawed
2 jars marinated artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
1 cup parmesan cheese
12 ozs. Cream cheese (1 ½ packages)
¾ cup Monterrey Jack Cheese, shredded
3 large garlic cloves, chopped
1 medium onion
¼ cup pine nuts or toasted walnuts
2 Tbs. lemon juice
2 Tbs. Tabasco sauce
2 Tbs. butter
Toasted slivered almonds

Drain spinach thoroughly. Sauté onions, garlic in butter 5-10 minutes. Add spinach, artichokes, parmesan cheese, jack cheese, walnuts, lemon juice, cream cheese and Tabasco sauce. Stir and heat through. Put in a 9 inch casserole dish. Top with toasted almonds and bake at 350 degrees until bubbly and slightly browned. Serve with tortilla chips.
