Barbecued Baked Salami

"Easy appetizer; hit of the party; baking results in a crust

on the outside that is simply out of this world."

Recipe By :Chef Harry Schwartz

Serving:12

1 8 inch salami -- (8 to 12)
(either Kosher or summer sausage)
2 cups barbecue sauce -- your favorite brand

This easy-as-can-be recipe as always was the hit of the party. Baking the salami causes a crust on the outside that is simply out of this world.

Cut the salami into 1- to 2-inch cubes and place in a single layer on a nonstick heavy baking sheet in a 325-degree oven and roast to desired texture. For a crusty outside and a soft inside, which is optimal, about 50 minutes.

Warm the barbecue sauce and serve with the salami cubes and toothpicks for spearing and dipping! Serves 12 to 18 as an appetizer. PS: Don't forget to put out a dish for the used toothpicks.
